Marco Warren witness appeal renewed
Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses to the hit-and-run that cost the life of popular footballer Marco Warren earlier this year.
Mr Warren was killed on North Shore Road, just west of Trinity Church Road, Hamilton Parish, at about 3.15am on May 14.
A police spokesman said: “Mr Warren, who was a new father at the time of his death, was well known in the footballing community and also as a Programme Co-ordinator with the Department of Youth, Sport and Recreation.
“Police continue to follow a number of leads as the investigation into his death remains ongoing.
“However, we still require the assistance of the public as we attempt to progress the matter and bring whomever is responsible to justice. Ultimately bringing closure to Marco’s family and loved ones.
“Please, if you know something, say something.”
Police urged anyone with information about the incident, no matter how insignificant, to contact Pc DeForest Evans on 717-0860 or at devans@bps.bm.
The public can also provide information through the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline, 800-8477, or through the BPS Community Reporting Portal, https://portal.police.bm.
