Two men are in custody after police on Wednesday responded to a reported burglary at Happy Valley Road, Pembroke.

Officers from the Community Policing Division followed up a complaint that several construction items had been removed from a residence.

Police said the same officers arrested a male suspect in the vicinity a short while later.

The suspect was said to be assisting with inquiries.

A search led to the recovery of several suspected stolen construction items, a suspected stolen motorcycle, two suspected illegal pit-bulls, and suspected cannabis plants.

A second man was arrested in connection with the investigation.
