Police investigating armed robbery at Pembroke eatery
A man brandished a firearm during a robbery at a Pembroke eatery on Monday evening.
The Bermuda Police Service said in a statement that at about 6.40pm, a report was made of the robbery at Food Hub on Angle Street.
“It was reported that two males arrived at the location on a black motorcycle,” the statement said.
“One of the suspects entered the premises and apparently brandished a firearm at the female staff member.
“The second suspect waited outside on the motorcycle.
“A quantity of cash was removed from the cash register, and the first suspect left the establishment on the motorcycle with the waiting accomplice.
“No persons were injured in the incident.”
The male suspect who entered the premises is described by police as being 6ft 2in and of slim build. He wore dark-coloured jacket and pants, and a black helmet with a dark visor.
The second suspect was described as being 5ft 3in and wearing black clothing.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to call Detective Constable Patrick Jones on 717-2170, 247-1744 or e-mail him at pjones@bps.bm.
