Robbers make off with jewellery in brazen city heist
A man entered a Hamilton jewellery store and smashed a display case with a hammer on Saturday afternoon.
The raider walked into the Walker Christopher jewellery store on Queen Street in Hamilton and used a hammer to break into a showcase at about 1.12pm.
A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said: “The suspect then grabbed a quantity of jewellery and fled the scene on the back of a motorcycle driven by another male.”
Police said the suspect was about 5ft 10in tall and stocky. The motorcycle rider was about 6ft 2in tall and had a light complexion.
An investigation into the incident is now under way.
