Police seized a significant amount of cannabis during a raid on a drug farm in St George’s after officers were tipped off about the site.

Officers raided the location on Friday and tracked down additional sites where cannabis was being cultivated.

Police have seized 138 “mature” cannabis plants.

The raid came five months after another large drug farm was discovered in St David’s.

The August 13 operation targeting a site in Southside yielded 103 fully grown cannabis plants.

The investigation into the latest seizure of the drug remains ongoing.

Cultivation of cannabis is prohibited under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Police called for anyone with information about the growing of cannabis or of drug supply in the community to call the main police number, 295-0011.

Information can also be shared with a familiar police officer, or can be given via the police community reporting portal online.
