Two travellers from overseas were arrested on Sunday at LF Wade International Airport after customs officers found them bringing “a large quantity” of what is believed to be cocaine, according to police.

A spokesman said: "Drug smugglers go to great lengths to conceal drugs when entering our borders.

“We will continue to collaborate with our partners at our ports of entry to improve existing security and detection measures and protect our community.”

Police added that the seized material had been sent to the government analyst for testing.

An investigation has been launched, with no further details given at this time.
