Police appeal for witness to hit-and-run incident

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run on Tuesday.
The accident happened at about 3pm, when the victim was struck by a car while crossing the road at the junction of Reid and Parliament streets in the City of Hamilton.
The vehicle, driven by an unidentified man, reportedly left the scene and was later found by police abandoned on Angle Street in Pembroke.
The victim, a 30-year-old woman, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment to minor injuries before being discharged.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
