Man in ICU after stabbing in Sandys

A 33-year old man was treated for multiple stab wounds after an incident in Sandys, police said yesterday.

The Bermuda Police Service said a report was received of a stabbing at about 12.40am on Sunday.

A spokesman explained: “Apparently a 33-year-old Sandys Parish man was assaulted by another individual in the parking lot between Legends Bar and Mr Chicken restaurant, along Somerset Road, Sandys.

“The injured man was conscious and transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via private car for treatment of multiple stab wounds, which are considered non-life-threatening.

“At last check, the 33-year-old was listed in stable condition in the intensive care unit.

“The scene was forensically processed and inquiries continue.”

Witnesses were asked to contact Detective Constable Patrick Jones of the Criminal Investigation Department on 717-2170 or by e-mail at pjones@bps.bm.
