Armed robber gets away with cash from service station
A robber wielding a machete got away with cash after holding up a service station in Somerset yesterday.
A post on the Bermuda Police Service Facebook page said that the man entered the Robinson’s Marina business at about 6.30am.
Officers who attended were told that a man brandishing a machete went into the service station and demanded money.
Staff complied and handed over a quantity of cash before the suspect escaped along Somerset Bridge, headed in the direction of Hog Bay Park.
The suspect was described as being about 6ft tall, of slim build, and was wearing dark-coloured clothing, white sneakers and a full-face helmet.
