The Bermuda Police Service have renewed their calls for witnesses to a deadly shooting at the Robin Hood Pub and Restaurant in Pembroke on the eve of the third anniversary of the double murder.

Assistant Police Commissioner Martin Weekes said: “There are people out there who know the persons responsible for the deaths of Ayinde Eve and Micah Davis, and the attempted murders of Troy Eve Burgess and Derek Golding.

“We urge you to come forward and speak with us. You have the option of remaining anonymous by using the Crime Stoppers number.

“Please remember that with the assistance of the public we have been able to solve a number of serious crimes or have been provided information which has allowed us to make significant progress with investigations into historical crimes.

“If you have any information, please reach out to us.”

A police spokesman said that at 6pm on October 26, 2021, police received several 911 calls reporting gunshots at the popular Richmond Road eatery.

He said Mr Eve and Mr Davis were sitting together in the bar area watching a televised football match.

“Mr Davis was celebrating his 22nd birthday. In close proximity sat victim Derrick Golding, who was in the company of others, also watching the televised match.

“A lone gunman entered the bar from the front door and approached the victims Mr Eve, Mr Davis and Mr Eve Burgess, where he discharged a firearm multiple times directly at them. Several rounds hit the three of them and the victim Mr Golding.”

He said the gunman exited the restaurant the same way he had come in.

“The victim Mr Eve ran through the bar to the rear exit of the building and out into the car park where a second gunman was waiting on a black Honda SH125 motorcycle behind a parked car.

“He opened fire at Mr Eve, hitting him with multiple rounds, causing him to fall to the ground. As the second gunman rode the motorcycle out of the car park, he collected the first gunman on the driveway and rode out in an easterly direction on Richmond Road.”

All four victims were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, but Mr Eve and Mr Davis died as a result of their injuries.

“On this, the third anniversary of the deaths of Ayinde Eve and Micah Davis and the attempted murders of Troy Eve Burgess and Derrick Golding, the BPS are appealing for any witnesses to please come forward to help us solve this crime and bring closure to the families,” the spokesman said.

“We would like to speak with anyone who may have seen or heard something, please contact Detective Inspector Dean Martin, of the Criminal Investigation Unit, on 717-2074 or 247-1744 or the confidential Crime Stoppers number, 800-8477.

“You may also contact a police officer you know.”
