Police: Steve Parkes murder case remains active
Police renewed calls today for information from residents of Mary Victoria Road, Devonshire who may have been near the scene of a fatal shooting last December.
The call came as detectives continued to investigate the murder of Steve Parkes, who was shot at about 7.48pm on December 11, 2023 outside his home as he was about to get on his motorcycle.
Mr Parkes was 53 when he was killed.
He was a father of six and a skilled carpenter who hoped to pass on knowledge of his craft to disaffected young men looking for training and guidance.
Police urged residents today to come forward with information on any suspicious individuals or vehicles that may have been in the area on the night of the murder.
The Bermuda Police Service said that all information received will be treated in strict confidence.
Anyone with information was encouraged to call Acting Detective Inspector Anneka Donawa on 717-2250, or to e-mail adonawa@bps.bm.
Anonymous tips can also be shared through the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers Bermuda hotline on 800-8477 or via its website at www.crimestoppers.bm.
