Lost parcel post a scam

The Government has urged the public to report a social media post claiming that lost parcels are for sale.

The post circulating through social media says the Bermuda Post Office is getting rid of its stock and selling lost parcels for $1.98.

It adds that the parcels contain “lots of sundries and electronics” and will be delivered island-wide.

A spokesman said the post “is a scam not a promotion by BPO or the Government of Bermuda”.

Clicking on the link in the caption could lead to personal data theft or financial fraud and people should report the post to Facebook if they see it on the site.
