Police investigating fracas after Friendship Trophy final

Police have appealed for information after an altercation involving several young people at a football match on New Year’s Day.

The Bermuda Police Service said officers responded to a report of a disturbance at the Somerset Cricket Club at about 4pm on Wednesday after the Friendship Trophy final between Dandy Town and PHC.

A spokeswoman said one person was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

An investigation is under way and anyone with information is asked to call Detective Inspector Dean Martin on 247-1744 or e-mail dmartin@bps.bm
