Police find suspected live ammunition in Spanish Point

Police have launched an investigation after two rounds of suspected live ammunition were found in Spanish Point, Pembroke.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said a report was received at about 10.20pm yesterday of suspicious activity outside a private residence.

He added: “Upon arrival, officers spoke with occupants who reported hearing a strange noise outside a bedroom window and, upon going out to determine the source, observed two individuals wearing dark-coloured clothing and black helmets running out of the driveway.

“An area search was conducted by officers and two rounds of suspected live ammunition were recovered at the scene.

“An investigation into this incident is under way.”
