Matthew Oliveira won his maiden Sinclair Packwood Memorial Race in 24:30.938, finishing ahead of Dave McComas in 24:34.039 and Darren Glasford in 24:37.510 today.

“It feels amazing; it’s a dream, it’s a dream,” Oliveira, 16, said. “The whole ride from Somerset to town I heard people shouting ‘Matthew’, especially when I was coming past my neighbourhood [Luke’s Pond Road, Southampton] where I saw everybody.”
