Back-to-back wins for Miller

Alexander Miller secured a second successive victory in this season’s Fat Tire Massive Mountain Bike Series at Southlands today.

Building on the momentum of claiming his first win of the season in the previous race at Lagoon Park in Sandys in December, Miller led the Male Open 60 Minute category race from start to finish, completing seven laps of the course in a total time of 1hr 8min 07sec.

Visiting, Jeff Currie, of Canada, enjoyed an impressive outing, finishing second, having completed six laps in 1:01:29, with Alan Potts completing the podium in third, finishing six laps in a total time of 1:03:06.

In the Male Open 30-Minute category, Garth Fleming proved victorious, completing five laps in a total time of 32:27, ahead of Raphael Brunorio, who finished five laps in 34:20.

Clive Langley finished narrowly behind, completing five laps in 34:21.007.

There was also a dominant victory for Jennifer Wilson in the Female Open 30-Minute category, who completed four laps in a total time of 31:53:034. Slightly more than four minutes behind was Jennifer Lightbourne in 35:59, followed by Zoe Hasselkuss in a total time of 37:36:310.

In the 13 to 16 Class, Enshe’Nico Davis took top honours, completing four laps in a time of 32:34, ahead of Gordon Smith in 32:48, with Rory Flemming completing the top three in 33:06.

There was victory for Tyler Coleman, who won the 12 and under category, finishing six laps in a total time of 15:50.

Harris Fleming claimed second place in 16:38, slightly ahead of Jacob Wright in 17:07.

The series continues with race five at Admiralty House Park on February 2.
