Robin Horsfield continued his impressive season form by sealing victory in the Eager Beaver Cross Country Half Marathon mountain bike race in Mansfield, Ontario.

Building on his recent fourth-place finish in the fourth round of the Ontario Cup, at Horseshoe Valley near Barrie, the Bermudian rider was at his dominant best over a course consisting of a 30-kilometre single track loop.

Getting off to a strong start, Horsfield proved to be a in a class of his own, leading from start to finish, with no other competitor putting up much of a challenge as he claimed a comfortable race win.

Horsfield, who is ranked third in the province of Ontario, will be aiming to build on his success heading into the final two Ontario Cup Senior Elite Men’s races, scheduled to take place over the next two weekends.

He looks set to at least clinch a top-five finish overall among a stellar field of competitors.
