Pedal for Paralympics race aiming to raise vital funds

Keen cyclists have the opportunity to help support Bermuda’s elite para-athletes by taking part in the Pedal for Paralympics event tomorrow.

The race, which is organised by the Bermuda Paralympic Association, features different routes for mountain and road bikes, starting at Royal Naval Dockyard at 9.45am and finishing at Ferry Reach Park in St George’s.

Funds raised will go towards helping Bermuda’s para-athletes compete at the World Para Athletics Championships in Paris in July, the Parapan Am Games in Santiago, Chile, in November and the Paralympics in Paris next summer.

All participants raising $100 in pledges will enter a draw for prizes. Registration is $25 in advance or $30 on race day.
