Legends ride again in Bermuda

More than 60 riders from past and present turned out for the Legends Ride to celebrate Bermuda Bicycle Association's 50th anniversary

More than 60 cyclists from past and present, some perhaps struggling to get into their lycra more than they used to, made their way around the island on Sunday.

The riders met at the Flagpole on Front Street at 10am and were given a police motorbike escort before heading along North Shore to the Swizzle Inn roundabout and rturning on South Road to the Botanical Gardens.

The ride was held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Bermuda Bicycle Association. Celebrations will continue with a gala dinner on November 16, with guest speaker Frankie Andreu, a former professional and team-mate of Lance Armstrong.
