Cyclist suffers head injuries in morning collision

A cyclist was seriously hurt in a collision with a car on Sunday morning, police said.
A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said that officers and first responders were called to Pitts Bay Road, Pembroke, near its junction with Mill Creek Road at about 9.08am.
Details were limited, but the male cyclist was said to have sustained serious head injuries.
He was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The female driver of the car was uninjured.
The scene of the crash was being processed and the road was closed to the public.
Anyone with information on the incident was asked to e-mail ptaylor2@bps.bm.
Witnesses can also call the main police number, 295-0011.
