Rider injured in Pembroke crash

A man was thought to have suffered a head injury in a bike crash early this morning in Pembroke, police said.

Officers and other emergency service crews attended the single-vehicle incident at about 12.45am near the junction of West Park Lane and North Shore Road.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said: “Details are limited at this time. However, it was reported that the motorcycle rider, a 30-year-old male, sustained a possible head injury and was unresponsive.

“He was attended to at the scene by emergency medical technicians, before being conveyed by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for further treatment of his injuries.”

The road was closed to traffic for almost two hours.

Anyone with information about the crash was asked to call the main police number, 295-0011.
