Motorcyclist injured in three-vehicle crash

Police appealed for witnesses after a three-vehicle collision in Paget yesterday.

The incident happened on Ord Road near the junction with Norden Lane at about 4pm.

Police believed that a car pulled out of a private driveway and turned right onto Ord Road before it collided with a motorcycle heading in the opposite direction.

The motorcyclist — a 28-year-old man — then crashed into a utility pole and suffered non-life threatening injuries to the right side of his body.

A second motorcycle ridden by a 20-year-old man also hit the car, which resulted in minor damage to both vehicles.

Neither the driver of the car — a 64-year-old woman — or the second motorcyclist were injured.

The road was closed to traffic for about two hours while the scene was processed.

An investigation into the incident was launched and anyone with information was asked to contact Police Constable Jonathan Wood on 515-2157 or by e-mail at jwood@bps.bm.

The Bermuda Police Service said witnesses can also call the main police number on 295-0011 or the non-emergency reporting number, 211.
