Teenager in ICU after East End crash
Two males were injured on Saturday at Southside when a motorcycle rider and a pedal cyclist collided on Tommy Fox Road near the junction with Pepper Hall Road.
Emergency services responded at 1.20pm and discovered both on the ground — the pedal cyclist, understood to be a 24-year-old Warwick man, as well as a 15-year-old male, who was believed to have been on the motorcycle at the time of the crash.
Police said it remained unclear whether the teenager was the motorcycle rider or a passenger on the vehicle.
Both were taken by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The scene was processed by police and an investigation into the matter continues.
At last check today, the pedal cyclist had been treated and discharged from the hospital, while the 15-year-old male had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
