Pedestrian and rider hurt in serious crash

Two people were taken to hospital tonight after a serious crash in Pembroke, police said.

Officers and other emergency crews were called to the scene near the junction of Crosslands Lane and Parsons Road at about 7.20pm.

The Bermuda Police Service said: “Information is limited at this time. However, it appears the incident involved a motorcyclist and a pedestrian.

“Both persons were attended to at the scene before being transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for further treatment of their injuries, which are described as serious.”

Police were processing the scene and traffic was diverted at Deepdale Road West (Two Way Deepdale) and Roberts Avenue.

The BPS added: “We are appealing for your patience and co-operation while this is being done and urge that motorists approach the area with caution. We will provide updates as they become available.”
