Man in ICU after collision with senior pedestrian
Two men were admitted to hospital last night after a collision that involved a motorcyclist and a senior pedestrian.
The Bermuda Police Service said that the vehicle, driven by a 26-year-old man, was being ridden in the westbound lane of Parsons Road, Pembroke, when it made contact with a 68-year-old man who was crossing the street.
Police, ambulance personnel and members of the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service all responded to the incident, which happened at about 7.20pm in the area of Crossland Lane.
The men, both from Devonshire, were taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
A police spokesman said that the rider was in the Intensive Care Unit at last check, while the pedestrian remained in the hospital to receive treatment.
The scene was processed and inquiries continued today.
