A female pedestrian remained in hospital today after she was injured in a collision involving a car in Warwick yesterday morning.

Police and first responders attended the scene at about 8.40am.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service explained: “It appears that the pedestrian, said to be a 26-year-old Warwick woman, exited Jones Lane and attempted to cross Harbour Road when the collision occurred with the car, which was being driven in the westbound lane of Harbour Road.

“She was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of her injuries, including a leg injury.

“At last check, she remained hospitalised with apparently non-life threatening injuries.

“The car driver, said to be a 40-year-old Paget woman, was unhurt.”

Traffic diversions were in place for about 90 minutes while officers conducted initial inquiries.
