Motorcyclist injured in Southampton crash
A motorcyclist suffered potentially serious injuries in a two-vehicle collision in Southampton this afternoon.
Police said that the incident happened east of Seymour Farm Road just before 2.30pm when a car exited a driveway and collided with a bike travelling in the westbound lane.
A Bermuda Police Service spokeswoman said: “The motorcyclist is believed to have sustained potentially serious injuries and has been taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
“The car driver reportedly did not suffer any injuries.”
Traffic diversions were in place at the junction of South Road and Middle Road at Barnes Corner and also at the junction of Middle Road and St Anne’s Road.
Motorists were advised to anticipate delays as police investigate the scene.
