‘The state of Bermuda’s economy’

Bermuda’s Emerging Professionals (BEPRO) is kicking off their first seminar of the year next week with an overview of Bermuda’s economy.Guest speaker, Lamar Caines, financial analyst from Bank of Butterfield, will be leading the session entitled “The State of Bermuda’s Economy”.“This seminar is especially relevant for young professionals in Bermuda as they begin to chart their professional course in this often rocky and unpredictable economic environment,” a statement from the group said. “BEPRO hopes to provide some tools at this Lunch and Learn to help our emerging executives in planning for their future wisely.”According to BEPRO, the seminar will cover topics, including drivers of the economy, the current state of core industries, the impact of the Government and potential solutions.Mr Caines is a graduate of the Berkeley Institute and Ryerson University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Commerce and HR Management. Prior to his current position at the Bank, he was in the Butterfield Bank management trainee programme.The Lunch and Learn is scheduled for February 1 from 12 to 1pm at the Chamber of Commerce.
