BERMUDIANA TO HAVE "PUBLIC" SHOWS

Change of Policy Follows Protests Against Barriers

Members of the public are to be admitted to the Bermudiana Theatre Club on three evenings a week. A statement, published as an advertisement today announces that admission to the four other performances per week will be restricted to theatre club members.

No amplification of the announcement of the change in policy could be obtained last night.

The three nights on which the general public will be admitted are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The announcement follows a situation which has led, in the past week, to questions in the House of Assembly and a picket line of protest on Front Street. The protests were made against racial discrimination. …
