Education Minister Dame Jennifer Smith formally opened the redeveloped Technical Education Centre at the Bermuda College.The two-year redevelopment project was carried out largely by students, and included the creation of new state-of-the-art classrooms and office spaces.Dame Jennifer praised the redevelopment, particularly that the College used it as an opportunity to give students hands-on experience.“The fact that students have had the opportunity to put theoretical and practical training to work in just about every aspect of the renovations with such outstanding results speaks volumes to the quality of instruction provided by the faculty.”She also took time to thank Bermuda College president Duranda Greene for her contributions to Bermuda, saying: “Your continues compartment is making a difference in this community, and we offer our heartfelt gratitude for your work in this area.”
