Hundreds attend YES Day
The Whitney Institute was bustling with activity on Saturday afternoon as Imagine Bermuda hosted a community day, featuring sports and entertainment.Organised by a coalition of different community groups, the Youth Exploring Self (YES) Day drew hundreds of people to the school field to take part in numerous activities, ranging from football and basketball to RC car racing.Kemani Burgess said he thought the day was good because it provided a large number of positive activities for younger Bermudians.“You always hear that there’s nothing to do in Bermuda, so it’s good to have so much here to broaden peoples minds,” he said.“There are lots of things people can do. Music, sports, all sorts of things. I think people just need a bit of inspiration.”
