More than $55,000 in financial awards and scholarships was given out to Bermuda College students.The funds were contributed by 26 sponsors drawn from across the community.Thursday’s ceremony at the college saw 36 students awarded funds to begin or continue their academic and professional journeys.“In these economic times, even though Bermuda College is still the best deal on the planet, some people are still finding it difficult and you’ve heard some of their stories juggling family, work and other commitments to make ends meet,” College president Duranda Greene told the gathering. “On behalf of Bermuda College and our students, thank you.”
