Whitney Institute, Royal Palms Hotel unite to promote tourism industry as a career

Whitney Institute students were given an insight into life in the hospitality industry after linking up with Royal Palms Hotel.The hotel’s co-manager Sonia Whitter volunteered at Whitney as part of the Bermuda Hospitality Institute’s Hospitality Programme, which promotes the industry as a viable career.The programme aims to help primary and middle school students decide whether they want to pursue a career in hospitality by giving them practical lessons and teaching about the significance of the industry.Whitney students’ course culminated in a breakfast at Royal Palms Hotel, where they were given the chance to practise what they learned from the programme.
