A decade of building knowledge
Scholarship charity Knowledge Quest celebrated its tenth anniversary this week.More than 140 students needing financial aid have been able to attend university through the charity’s assistance; more than 100 have graduated.Knowledge Quest is assisting about 40 more students who are currently enrolled.The Alan Titus Scholarship was officially launched at a ceremony in honour of the charity’s efforts.Mr Titus was a fundraiser and Knowledge Quest mentor.Knowledge Quest graduates, current students, donors and families attended Wednesday’s event.Barry University student, Khamani Fox, marked the occasion by creating 100 cupcakes for the evening.Knowledge Quest has raised more $2 million from individual and corporate donors. All of the funds raised go directly to paying students’ college education costs.
