Berkeley looks overseas for new principal

A new principal for the Berkeley Institute could come from overseas as the school’s search extends beyond the Island.The open invitation includes the Canadian recruitment site Workopolis.With long-serving Berkeley principal Michelle Simmons due to retire at the close of the present school year, the search for a successor is now underway. According to the school board’s advertisement the closing date for applicants is the end of this month.Recruiting from abroad could mark a first for the school, which was founded in 1897.
