Shadow Education Minister Walton Brown is calling on students to seize opportunities offered during the next school year.With many youngsters heading back to the classroom this week following the long summer break, Mr Brown also urged parents to help their children succeed and praised teachers for their dedication.“I would like to wish all students in Bermuda a productive and successful school year,” Mr Brown said.“There will no doubt be a series of both opportunities and challenges along the way and I encourage each of you to seize those opportunities and work to minimise those challenges.“To parents, continue to encourage your child to succeed. Success is defined in a multitude of ways and your child should be provided with the environment to work toward her goals.“To teachers, you know it is your dedication and focus on our young people that is the key to their success. I want to thank you for your commitment to our students and service to our country.”
