MSA implements early learning programme
Mount Saint Agnes Academy announces its decision to implement the Reggio Emilia-inspired early learning programme for four-year-olds in September 2015.
Speaking of the announcement, Sue Moench, the MSA principal, said: “It has been a vision of ours for some time now and we are excited about the decision of the MSA Board of Governors to institute this programme.
“The need to provide families with a high-quality, affordable preschool education in a safe, familial and faith-based environment was a driving force in the creation of this programme.”
Mrs Moench added: “We believe that learning should be a fun and dynamic process that unfolds when the right conditions are created. The Reggio Emilia-inspired early learning programme will create an innovative and active learning environment whereby children, parents and teachers work together in a spirit of co-operation and as co-constructors of knowledge.
“It is this approach that results in a culture that respects childhood as a time to explore, create and be joyful.
“With a tuition of $12,500, along with our exciting Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum, we are confident that we will meet this demand and that the children who come into our care will thrive.”
The Early Learning Programme, which will be located on the MSA school grounds, is open to children who will be 4 on or before December 31, 2015. The application deadline is March 31.
