Report on school reorganisation complete
Minister of Education Wayne Scott has received the final report of the SCORE Advisory Committee on school reorganisation.
The report was commissioned to examine school consolidation or closure, improve the quality and consistency of primary school programming and opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings.
The minister will begin sharing the report’s findings with all stakeholders and presentations by the SCORE Advisory Committee have begun.
Once stakeholder consultations are completed, the minister will release the report to the public to continue the consultation process.
Mr Scott said: “I want to move this report forward in the most open and responsible manner possible.
“As we said in November’s Throne Speech, the intent is to have this challenging issue proceed in a collaborative and inclusive manner, engaging parents, educators and the wider community in a review of school programmes, building use and stakeholder needs.”
