Green family launch new Saltus scholarship
A scholarship has been launched by the Green family for promising Saltus students in need of financial support.
The grant is to be awarded every other year to “well rounded” Bermudian applicants in primary 6, according to a statement issued on behalf of the family, owners of the Hamilton Princess.
The scholarship will cover 80 per cent of tuition for seven years, starting in S7, or M1, through graduation.
Alexander Green, speaking on the family’s behalf, called for any student with “a passion for learning and service” to apply.
“Education opens doors to fulfilling one’s dreams and every young person should have access to the quality education that they choose, regardless of their financial background.”
Thanking the Greens for their support, Amanda Skinner, the director of enrolment management, said that the Saltus Green Family Scholarship created “an incredible opportunity for our school community, and we are thrilled to offer this new scholarship to a deserving applicant”.
Application details can be found on the Admissions page of the Saltus website, www.Saltus.bm, under Scholarships & Financial Aid.
Applicants must also apply to Saltus by completing the online application, also found on the Admissions page.
The deadline for this year’s scholarship application is January 31, and interviews will take place in February.
