Michael Dunkley dropped in one some of the island’s students this week to help them learn about fitness and a healthy lifestyle as part of the Premier’s Youth Fitness Programme, on offer throughout public schools.
Mr Dunkley was accompanied yesterday at Heron Bay Primary School by Jeanne Atherden, the Minister of Health and Seniors, as well as education minister Wayne Scott, and the programme’s coordinator, Marie Beach-Johnson.
Last September, Mr Dunkley joined officials from both ministries to launch the programme under the Premier’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition. The Heron Bay visit included joining students in some exercises.
