Warwick Academy students celebrated their School Salute with a little help from their mascot.

The Warwick Bear joined them at the roadside to greet morning commuters, on the day a magazine charting the school’s history was published by The Royal Gazette.

Warwick Academy dates back to 1662 and is one of the oldest continuously run schools in the western hemisphere.

Throughout the past two weeks, our School Salute coverage has told the tale of the history of Bermuda’s schools, thanks to a collective effort which has involved all 44 schools and learning institutions on the island.

This newspaper has powered www.schoolsalute.bm which offers daily school updates and is carrying the school supplements.
