The Ministry of Health has today issued a reminder to students and health professionals that applications for the Dr. Barbara Ball Public Health Scholarship will close on 30 April, 2019. The Ministry is encouraging students interested in public health professions to apply online at bermudascholarships.com

The Ministry of Health awards the Dr. Barbara Ball Public Health Scholarship annually to Bermudian students seeking careers or professional development in public health. Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of local public health relevance, academic achievement, and financial need.

Current public health priorities are allied health (rehabilitative therapies), nursing, social work, environmental health, occupational safety and health, and post-graduate health economics. Other health professions with local public health relevance will also be considered.

To apply you must be a resident of Bermuda; possess Bermuda status or have acquired PRC status, accepted for admission to an approved programme in an accredited institution, and achieving the minimum academic requirements of the scholarship.
