Tears as Burt’s daughter starts school

David Burt, the Premier, declared his faith in public education as took his four-year-old daughter Nia for her first day of school today.
Mr Burt and his wife Kristin also welcomed other children and parents as they arrived at Northlands Primary School, in Pembroke.
They were joined by Kalmar Richards, the Commissioner of Education.
Mr Burt said: “I shed a tear this morning for my princess’s first day of school. I believe in public education and am proud to be here at Northlands Primary.
“I wish the principals, teachers, support staff, parents, guardians and all of Bermuda’s students a wonderful start to the 2019 school year.”
