Students invited to take virtual tour of US university
Students considering attending higher education in the US will be able to take a virtual tour of a prestigious college later this month
Troy University in Alabama will host the virtual information session for Bermudians through the US Consulate General.
Sohail Agboatwala, the university’s vice chancellor for international programmes, said: “We are pleased to offer the citizens of Bermuda this chance to experience Troy University in a unique way, and learn what the university can offer students.”
The session will include a campus tour, an overview of Troy, Alabama, and academic programmes offered by the institution.
Attendees will also learn about the application process, scholarship options, campus life and student activities, as well as discovering their pathway to a degree.
The virtual open house will feature a greeting from Troy University chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, acting US Consul General to Bermuda Alan Purcell and Government MP Kim Swan, who was a student at the university in the 1970s.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, March 25 at 6.30pm. Participation is free, but does require registration Online registration is now available.
