Scholarship deadline moved again over website issues
The Ministry of Education has pushed back scholarship deadlines after the Bermuda Scholarship website encountered technical problems.
While the deadline was scheduled to be today, the Ministry announced that the deadline would be moved to Friday.
Diallo Rabain, the Minister of Education, said: “As the Bermuda Scholarship website is not operated by the Bermuda Government we are unable to provide any information on the technical difficulties currently being experienced.
“We have contacted the private entity that runs the Bermuda Scholarships website and they are trying to address the technical difficulties as quickly as possible.
“In light of these technical difficulties, the deadline for filing applications for the Ministry’s awards and scholarships has been extended to 4.45 pm on April 30.”
He added that if students have difficulty using the website, they can still apply for scholarships.
Applicants can visit the Scholarship and Award listings on the Ministry of Education website, www.moed.bm, view information sheets that outline the requirements and send completed documents to scholarships@moed.bm.
