Back-to-school Covid testing under way
Schoolchildren and their parents are being reminded that pre-return Covid-19 testing starts today.
A negative test result dated between today and Sunday is required for students to return to in-class learning on Monday.
Diallo Rabain, the Minister of Education, said: "The response from students who have already registered for their return to school tests is positive. Thus far, we have 3,506 students registered for testing.
“It is not too late for parents and guardians to sign up for testing.”
The booking form for use by students is available at schools.resqwest.com/web
Bermuda College:
September 9 from 10am to 6pm (saliva test)
September 10 and 11 from 10am to 4pm (antigen test)
Dalton E Tucker Primary School gym (western location):
September 9 from 10am to 4pm (saliva test)
September 10 from 10am to 4pm (antigen test)
Francis Patton Primary School gym (eastern location):
September 9 from 10am to 4pm (saliva test)
September 10 from 10am to 4pm (antigen test)
Dame Marjorie Bean Hope Academy (DAME)
September 9 – (on-site testing)
Parents may also book tests for preschool children who have been assigned staggered dates for the return to school next week.
The testing will take place at Bermuda College on September 12 between 10am and 4pm. The same link, schools.resqwest.com/web, can be used to book appointments.
Mr Rabain added: "The Ministry and Department of Education appreciate the support to ensure that our students are tested and cleared for entry back to school on September 12, 2022.
“We look forward to welcoming our children back to school in person for a productive academic year."
