More scholarships will be offered to Saltus students in the next academic year, the school announced today.

The new grants have been made possible by the Green family, who already have a scholarship programme at Saltus, which helps 24 students attend the school.

Thanks to the family’s donation, more students in Saltus’s foundation year, as well as Years 1 to 6, will receive scholarships next year, although the exact number is not yet known.

The school’s director of enrolment management Amanda Skinner said: “Through the years, we have all witnessed the incredible investment that the Green family have made to our island.

“The family’s generosity is unprecedented and we are extremely grateful to their commitment to Saltus and to the children of Bermuda.”

The yearly scholarships are given to qualified existing Bermudian students who have shown financial need and helps to pay some of their tuition.

“The recipients must remain in good standing, both academically and behaviourally, with demonstrated participation in the life of the school,” a Saltus spokeswoman said.
