Bermuda College students display art at exhibition
Bermuda College students and graduates attended the opening night of the school’s annual art show in style.
Some wore costumes to the event on May 19, with one student donning clown make-up.
Works were completed by students both in and outside the college’s associate of art and design programme over the past year.
Pieces, which include two and three-dimensional works as well as videos, are on display in the school’s North Hall.
Art professor Edwin Smith said: “The reality of sharing the results of their hard work with the wider community with this new, transformed exhibiting space, along with the promise of engagement with the public, has brought on a new energy and high anticipation.”
Eira McHugh, who graduated from the school with distinction last month, said: “I am very excited about this year’s show — my peers and I have pushed and challenged boundaries to create big, fresh and thrilling work.”
The exhibition is open weekdays from 9am to 5pm and will run until June 9.
People can contact Dr Smith on WhatsApp at 516 0143 for a guided tour of the show.
