‘Happy place’ inspires pupils’ artwork
Pupils focused on their “happy place” in an art contest that showcased their creativity and talent.
The winners of the seventh annual Student Art and Digital Competition were announced by the Mirrors Programme this week.
Tineé Furbert, the Minister of Social Development and Seniors, said: “The Mirrors Programme plays a pivotal role in shaping our youth into confident, expressive and creative individuals.
“We are proud to support this competition, which encourages young talent to flourish and offers a unique window into the minds of our future artists.”
The competition’s central theme was My Happy Place.
A government spokesman said: “This year's competition has once again showcased the immense creativity and talent of Bermuda's young artists, providing them with a platform to express themselves and share their unique perspectives.”
Kimberley Jackson, the programme manager for the Mirrors Programme, added: “We were overwhelmed by the incredible response to this year's competition.
“It is a testament to the depth of talent and creativity among Bermuda's youth.
“Self-expression remains one of the core values and each year we look forward to providing an opportunity for our youth to express themselves through art.
