Company to offer course in video game development
A local company is offering a “fun and interactive” course in creating video games.
Bermuda Island Games will offer the six-week Coding Course from November 14. Classes take place every Tuesday evening from 5.30pm to 6.30pm at Warwick Academy.
The course is open to students aged 14 and above and teaches programming using the C# programming language for the Unity game engine.
It also includes concepts such as generative AI, artificial intelligence capable of generating text, images and other media, for games.
Adrian Lodge, founder of Bermuda Island Games, said: “While Unity has been in the news recently for their pricing changes, it is still considered the most popular and the most flexible game engine for 2D and 3D games on the market.
“We wanted to offer this course to help those who are interested in learning more about video game development or just programming in general as we are always looking for more local talent.”
